Steven B visits KGV

The tug Steven B is a regular sight heading up and down the river Thames with a variety of cargos but today she ventured in to the KGV lock and I was able to catch up with her as she came in.

The Steven B operates under the Bennett’s Barges branding operating for Aggregate Industries but is part of the wider Livett’s Group.

As a hard working vessel the Steven B is showing a few bumps and scraps but has recently had the deckhouse roof repainted red and this is to be followed by the decks in the same colour along with a repainting of other areas.

That said, she is a working vessel and today was no exception and she was soon at work again.

Update: The visit of the Steven B was actually in connection with the Jaguar XE launch project – details here.
