Once again the River Thames in London will play host to a gathering of tall ships as part of the combined Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta / Sail Royal Greenwich event taking place over the Easter weekend in April 2017.
The Rendez-Vous 2017 regatta is to celebrating the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Canadian Confederation and is being marked by a number of tall ships travelling 7,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic with port calls in seven different countries and taking part in five races.
The following tables show the expected attendees and will be updated as details are confirmed. As always with such things participation subject to change and until it has arrived on the Thames – it hasn’t!
It is expected that up to 20 ships will be moored at Woolwich and there will be a firework display on the evening of 15th April. Other vessels will be moored at Greenwich where firework displays will take place on each of the other evenings during the event.

Some of the ships are regular visitors to the river Thames as part of the annual Sail Greenwich event and various vessels will be undertaking pleasure trips along the river during their stay.
