I am lucky enough to live next to the river Thames and have come to appreciate the wide variety of boats of all shapes and sizes that the river hosts.
I am also a keen amateur photographer and whilst my first interest was aviation I have increasingly focused on ships.
This blog will cover what passes by on the river plus what comes in to the King George V lock and goes into the Royal Docks beyond – a significant historical place of waterborne trade and activity that still has an active role today.
My latest posts can be found below or by selecting from the top menu bar.

The Lookout page will list any events or special visitors that are expected in the area.
Click here for details of ships that visit the Tate & Lyle factory in Silvertown.
I may also add in a few other posts about aircraft, buildings and landscapes but all focused around this point on the river.
I have a Flickr site where other photographs of various subjects can be found and my Twitter name is @AJBC_1 and I use hashtag #dlr_blog.
I also have a Youtube channel which can be found here.
